Science Olympiad Planning Team

About Us
The Science Olympiad Planning Team is a student-led group that organizes and volunteers at Science Olympiad tournaments across the Southern California region.
In April of 2023, the club successfully hosted the first in-person Southern California State SciOly Tournament on campus since 2019, and supported many other local tournaments throughout the year, including two Los Angeles Regional Tournaments, the Bay Area Regional Science Olympiad Tournament, and the two BirdSO Invitationals, which are some of the largest invitational tournaments in the country.
In 2022, Caltech hosted the National Science Olympiad tournament, which was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This opportunity gave us a chance to show Caltech and its mission to students who may be interested in attending Caltech.
Get Involved
If you are Caltech undergraduate or graduate student, there are two ways to get involved:
- Volunteer at an upcoming Tournament (keep an eye out for Caltech Directory emails)
- Join the Planning Team: if you'd like to be involved in the behind-the-scenes planning and volunteer organization, come to our bi-weekly club meetings!
